Our Story
Overlooking the lake, the hotel was born from a family history shaped by vision, sacrifice, and a deep connection to the land.
It all began in the late 1950s, when Giuseppe Veronesi – known to everyone as “Taki,” the name the hotel still carries – purchased this wild, untouched piece of land, made only of rock and pristine nature.
A passionate fisherman and sailor who loved his lake, and a man with great initiative, he always looked to the future with determination and courage.
By his side was his wife Bonetta, an excellent cook and a wonderful mother, who for over forty years represented the heart of the business. With tireless dedication she worked in the kitchen, contributing in a fundamental way to the growth of the hotel and to its warm, family oriented identity. Together they faced years of sacrifice, turning a dream into a welcoming and vibrant reality.
Over time, the hotel also became a point of reference for many loyal guests: numerous visitors have been coming here for a lifetime, and with many of them a sincere and lasting bond has grown. A relationship that goes beyond hospitality and represents one of the most precious aspects of this family story.
Later came their children, Giovanna and Michele, who grew up on the hotel and learned the value of work and hospitality from a very young age. Today, they carry on the family tradition with the same commitment and passion as those who came before them, hoping that one day their own children will continue this story with the same love for the lake and for welcoming others.
